NAM Procedure for Cleft Lip and Palate
St Louis Children's Hospital is one of few centers in the Midwest offering nasoalveolar molding (NAM) to treat children with cleft lip and palate deformities. The presurgical procedure uses an orthodontic appliance to gently direct the growth of the upper jaw and gums in newborns, resulting in a more natural appearance.
